Download Station
Q. What is the Download Station?
A. The Download Station is an Auran website dedicated to hosting in excess of 40,000 additional assets (locomotives, cars, scenery, etc.) for Trainz. These assets have been created by the talented members of the Trainz Community and have been generously uploaded for your enjoyment.
Q. Who can use the Download Station?
A. The Download Station is available to all registered users of Trainz, Ultimate Trainz Collection, Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004/06 and Trainz Classics.
Q. What does it cost to use the Download Station?
A. Access to the Download Station is free*. It has a capped download speed of approximately 4-6 kb/s and has a daily limit of 100MB. Speed and daily limit restrictions do not apply if you purchase a First Class Ticket.
*Your normal Internet Service Providers fees and bandwidth limitations still apply.
Q. What is a First Class Ticket?
A. A First Class Ticket or FCT gives you premium access to the Download Station. Download speed and daily limit restrictions do not apply if you have a FCT. For more information about First Class Tickets visit the Technical FAQ.
Trainz Serial Number
Q. What is the Trainz Serial Number used for?
A. Your Trainz Serial Number is required as a part of the installation process for TRS 2006. The Trainz Serial Number is a unique code that also grants you access to the Download Station and Trainz support. You will need to register your Trainz Serial Number in your Planet Auran Profile before you can access these areas. If you cannot locate the Trainz Serial Number contact the place of purchase immediately. Further information about the Trainz Serial Number is contained in the Technical FAQ.
Earlier Versions Of Trainz
Q. Will I need to uninstall my earlier versions of Trainz?
A. No.
Q. Will I be able to use my existing TRS 2004/06 content in Trainz Classics?
A. Yes, you can import TRS04/06 content into Trainz Classics, though this is recommended only to advanced users, as errors may be introduced with which we can't offer assistance.
MSTS Installation
Q. Do I need to remove Microsoft Train Simulator before I install TRS 2006?
A. No. Trainz Classics will not interfere with any other software installation.
Returning Software
Q. I have just purchased Trainz Classics from the online Shop and I notice that my PC does not meet the minimum requirements. Can I return the software?
A. Yes. If you have not broken the seal on the package, simply return it with a copy of the invoice to the address on the invoice for a purchase price refund. See our Refunds and Returns policy and Terms and Conditions for further information.
