STEAM UPDATES
Steam sound has been updated to synchronise chuffs with the action of the cylinders. Fans of that famous "I think I can" beat will be thrilled with new possibilities.
Wheelslip animation has been completed and it's effect on the fire and the loco's steaming ability are now taken into account. In fact the entire physics system for steam locomotives has been given a gruelling overhaul. If you're up for the cab-mode challenge, you'll find out whether you have what it takes to keep a real steam train running on time.
For those that prefer to concentrate on the road ahead. An automatic fireman can now be conjured.
Particle effects have also been paid due attention and improved to permit greater felixibility for control through the use of scripting.
The underlying particle system itself has undergone some important changes too; providing for better customisation and fine tuning of the particle effects themselves. Keep an eye on the TC website for full documentation.

SIGNALLING UPDATES
The signalling update includes brand new logic and completely replaces the old system, however is backwards compatible with pre-TC3 assets in almost all cases.
The updated sytem recognises the concept of 'home','distant' and 'repeater' signals. The new logic also provides better support for semaphore signals; and the previous scripting workload on creators has been substantially reduced.
The TC3 route is equipped with a set of Upper Quadrant signals which are relevant for the timeframe and region. These are supplemented with some multi-aspect colour-light signals also seen at the time.
